Your Wedding Rehearsal
1. Your rehearsal is set for a limited period of time. Due to other scheduled events in the church, we ask that you and your wedding party please be prompt.
2. As a rule rehearsals begin at 6:15 p.m. the day before your wedding. Daily Mass at St. Michael’s takes place in the church from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. We ask that you do not arrive at the church before 6:00 p.m. If your party does arrive before 6:00 p.m. please remain outside (during good weather) or near the parking lot entrance to the building. Groups gathering and talking in the Atrium while Mass is in progress is very distracting to those in the Church.
3. If you are having a unity candle, please bring it and the side tapers to the rehearsal; your St. Michael’s wedding assistant will keep them at church until your wedding.
4. If you have wedding programs, please bring them to the rehearsal.
5. Please inform your wedding party that smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited on church property. No food or beverages of any kind are permitted in the church.
6. Remind your wedding party and guests that rice, confetti, glitter, or bird seed are Not allowed. Blowing of bubbles is not allowed in the church buildings.
7. The rehearsal is not a time to make any changes in previously agreed upon plans for the wedding.
8. Although wedding musicians may attend the rehearsal to see the flow of the ceremony, or to find out where they are to participate in the ceremony, the rehearsal is not a time for musicians, technicians, etc. to participate.
9. Have all readers attend the rehearsal and familiarize themselves with the microphone they will be using. Please leave a copy of the readings and intercessions at the church so they will not be forgotten on the day of your wedding.
10. Due to the number of events scheduled in the church, we cannot allow couples to use the rehearsal to set-up decorations for the wedding. No floral arrangements, bows, runners or other decorations may be placed in the church until your scheduled time to use the church on the day of your wedding.
